CNC Setter Operator/Manual Machinist

Aitchee Engineering Ltd are looking to employ a CNC Setter Operator/Manual Machinist in East Grinstead.

Job Requirements
- CNC turning, milling operator
- Must be able to set a CNC lathe with driven tooling and sub spindle,
- Manual turning and milling using a variety of engineering materials
- Reading and accurately interpreting engineering drawings and using them to set check parts

The person
- Excellent attention to detail
- Fanuc & Heidenhain experience useful but not essential as training will be given
- Medical or Scientific Instrument machining experience desirable
- Comfortable working to fine tolerances
- Experience setting and operating Bridgeport 3 axis mill useful but not essential as training will be given
- Programming, setting and operating lathe useful but not essential as training will be given
- Operation of miscellaneous workshop equipment including vertical and horizontal; saw, pillar drill

Qualifications/Experience
- Practical 'hands-on’ experience working within a production environment operating CNC milling machines and lathes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Self-motivated and organized individual that shows initiative and a willingness to learn new skills
- The candidate will need to be a self-motivated individual and be able to fit in to a small but effective production team. The ideal candidate also needs to be of a meticulous nature, agile and focused on delivering product quality.

The Job
- Salary dependant on experience.
- 39-hour week semi flexi time, 4 day working week
- Overtime available as required by workload at time x 1.3

Orbital TIG Welder

Aitchee Engineering Ltd are looking to employ an Orbital TIG Welder.

The role
To assemble and weld hygienic tube heat exchangers in stainless steels using the orbital and manual TIG welding, tube diameters will be 3/8” x 22 SWG and 5/8” x 16 SWG, all polished, working to tight dimensional and finishing tolerances, accuracy and finish is very important as all our products are for Scientific and research applications. It is essential that the applicant can read and understand engineering drawings and communicate effectively with the other members of the team to achieve a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Experience essential Using a Orbiweld OW 38S Enclosed Weld Head Machine. We will expect to carry out a trade test before making a job offer and to inspect and qualifications that you have.

The person
You must be able to read and work from engineering drawings and able to work on your own initiative, you should also be able to work in a busy workshop environment and do some lifting as required. Ideally experienced in high quality welding in either the food and pharmaceutical industry or vacuum and research sectors, although applicants that show they have an eye for quality and attention to detail will be well considered. Overalls, safety equipment and general tools will be supplied but we will be looking for someone who has a working set of hand tools. You must be confident enough to inspect the job as it arrives at your work station before you start the job to ensure that it can be finished to our standards.

The conditions
A clean working environment working 39-hour week, (we are running a trial of completing the 39 hours in 4 days). Free on-site parking, basic works canteen with tea/coffee facilities. Skilled Sheet Metal Worker

The role
The successful applicant will be proficient in working and forming mild steel, aluminium and stainless steels to fine limits in gauges ranging from 0.5mm to 6mm working to a high level of finish. Accuracy and finish is very important as most of our products are for Scientific and research applications. It is essential that the applicant can read and understand engineering drawings and communicate effectively with the other members of the team to achieve a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement. We will expect to carry out a trade test before a job offer and also to inspect and qualifications that you have.

The person
You must be able to read and work from engineering drawings and able to work on your own initiative, you should also be able to work in a busy workshop environment and do some lifting as required. Ideally experienced in high quality sheet metalwork and fabrication in either the food and pharmaceutical industry or vacuum and research sectors, although applicants that show they have an eye for quality and attention to detail will be well considered. The ability to operate a non CNC brake press, power rolls and other fabrication equipment is essential. Overalls, safety equipment and general tools will be supplied but we will be looking for someone who has a working set of hand tools. You must be confident enough to inspect the job as it arrives at your work station before you start the job to ensure that it can be finished to our standards. Experience with Promecam press brake’s is essential, preference will be given to applicants with CNC laser or punch press operating experience.

A clean working environment working 39 hours per week, (currently trialling a 4-day pattern), with the option of selective overtime and the option to work flexitime within set parameters (key hours). The role
To assemble and weld sheet-metal and light structures using MIG or TIG welding processes, materials will range from Mild steel to stainless steels and aluminium in gauges ranging from 0.5mm to 6mm working to tight dimensional and finishing tolerances. Accuracy and finish is very important as most of our products are for Scientific and research applications. The job will also compose of some finishing work to prepare the workpiece for a range of finishing from painting to anodising and electroplating. It is essential that the applicant can read and understand engineering drawings and communicate effectively with the other members of the team to achieve a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement. We will expect to carry out a trade test before making a job offer and also to inspect and qualifications that you have.
